The Tramex Moisture Encounter MEX5 is a digital, non-destructive dual-depth moisture meter designed for wood and various building materials, such as drywall, roofing materials, plaster, tiles, and masonry.
The MEX5 features a built-in hygrometer for measuring environmental conditions and psychrometric values, an infrared sensor and red surface thermometer, as well as external in-situ RH probes for measuring in-situ equilibrium RH readings, and pin probes for readings in wood, drywall, and WME.
Moisture test results can be visualized and geotagged using the Tramex Meters app
and converted into moisture maps, reports, and charts for sharing. These individual and collective features make
MEX5 an indispensable tool for professionals in the wood, hardwood flooring, and construction industries involved in moisture control and water damage restoration.
Scale:
- Moisture content in wood (NDT): 0 to 30% MC
- Moisture content of wood (pin): 6% to approximately 50% MC
- Moisture content in drywall (pin test): 0 to 8.5% MC
- Reference scales for building materials: 0–100
- Relative humidity: 0–99%
- Humidity accuracy: 0% → 99% relative humidity ± 2% at 25°C / 77°F
